Miss Mabel’s food truck is all about evolutionary fast food made with the best seasonal organic or free range ingredients matched to modern flavours from around the world.
Mabel’s food truck was conceived through the desire to have high quality, fast foods available to customers who want to eat well. We realised that the “old fashioned” ways of utilising high quality,seasonal and sustainable produce fused with the best local, asian, mexican and southern cooking styles gave us what we call our traditionally modern menu from farm to street !
Armed with family recipes we met with our friends David and Donna, from Shiralee organic meats, www.shiraleemeats.com, and sharing a vision for good food Miss Mabel’s food truck was born. Shiralee provides the meats and Mabel adds the sauces and sides that creates the complete dish.
Miss Mabel was our great grandmother and strong matriarch who brought up 5 children alone after WW1, and had a love of food and life ! Whether you are healthy, happy or hung over Mabel had the answer for as she said “You can change the world but not on an empty stomach !”
At Mabel’s our ethos is to use the best quality, seasonal, organic or free range and gluten free products. But, the emphasis is we simply provide great food you enjoy eating.
